How to use it
Australian GST is 10% of the GST-exclusive price. To add GST, multiply by 1.1. To find the GST inside a GST-inclusive price, divide by 11 (not 10). For example, $110 including GST contains $10 GST.

Why divide by 11 and not take 10% off?
The 10% is charged on the price before GST. On a $110 inclusive price, 10% of $110 would be $11, but the real GST is $10 (10% of $100).
Does it work for New Zealand GST?
